Daily Life,  I Never Thought I'd Be In This Situation

I, Too, Want To Encourage Brandon To Go

You’ll probably never again see me recommend a television show, but in this instance, I must.

Last night’s opening monologue on Tucker Carlson’s show was gold. The mockery was so thick you could spackle with it. It was as if Tucker asked The Babylon Bee to write his teleprompter notes.

This is perhaps the best way to address what’s going on in this world. The devil cannot tolerate being laughed at.

This was a great way to kick off the day out here in Blue Oregon. Before retirement I was 1 of maybe 15 conservatives in a building of 150 or so diehard liberals.

(I was employed by a state government agency so knew going in what I was in for.)

I was raised in a rural area and wasted no time getting out to another rural area after retirement. The pace is much slower, people actually care (as well as look out for their neighbors and most people in the rural areas don’t give a hoot what you do as long it isn’t affecting them.

James, I feel very sorry for the people stuck in urban areas. Of course, for reasons I will never understand, some people prefer to live cheek-to-jowl with other people, surrounded by noise and bustle and crime. I suppose the proximity of rilly uhmayzing restraurants is part of the draw.

Glad you were able to get back to the sticks. I wouldn’t trade the country life for a mansion in town.
