I’m still coming here SK. I read everything you offer and want to thank you for the entertaining and thought-provoking posts.

I still pray for you and your readers daily.

Here is my Christmas present to you and your readers: Try Popey’s Chicken if you have one nearby. It’s crispy and incredibly tender all at once…..that’s about the best I can do fro now!

Merry Christmas to you and your family……and your roguish dogs.

And I appreciate you so much, Brian. You’ve long been an encouragement to me. And your prayers are a comfort. I am confident that I’m not alone in this assessment.

Popeye’s Chicken! Hear, hear! We love that stuff. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

My family and the roguish dogs join me in wishing you and yours a Merry Christmastide and a Happy New Year. May you be blessed, my friend.

I havent searched your site but I’m starting to think YOU may have mentioned Popeye’s in one of your posts in the last few years.
So maybe that was your Christmas gift to me. I’ll work on another Christmas gift for you……hopefully by next year!

    Hello S.K.,
I’ve just realized that – having ‘stopped by’ last night to ‘copy/paste’ a comment to your “Bless The Beasts” post –
I forgot to offer you and Mrs. Orr my best wishes for your Christmas…so, I do hope it was a very Merry Day for you and all yours indeed!
Catching up on missed posts today and would like to say – to Lewis who commented on Dec. 22 –
“My thanks and well wishes to you for posting the Washington Irving, “Old Christmas” recommendation!! I’ve found the book free online, illustrations and all, and enjoyed it so much – such lovely reading!!”

Here’s a link, S.K., in case you haven’t been able to find the book or any of your other blog fans are interested:

And now, in light of subject matter referenced in the aforementioned book, and thus in the spirit of English tradition, I’ll offer –
    Happy Boxing Day!!

Thank you, Carol…we did indeed have a nice Christmas, and I hope you and yours did as well.

Many thanks for the link. I enjoyed Lewis’s recommendation of Irving’s “Old Christmas,” and thank you for the link you provided.

Happy belated Boxing Day (and St. Stephen’s Day, as well)….I wish you and yours a Happy and peaceful New Year.
